Yesterday we flew 168 pods and 88 drums of fuel ashore at Green Gorge.
Rather than fly the remaining 27 pods ashore we stopped the operation at
1630 and flew the helicopters back to the station in case we did not get
any further opportunities to fly. Today we awoke to winds gusting to
50kts. Following the advice of our eloquent forecaster we grabbed a
small window this afternoon as a front passed over us (thanks Jeremy for
observing it and calling us). We are now flying off the last of the pods
and fuel, and bringing the passengers aboard ready to depart for Hobart
later today, assuming all goes to plan.
Cheers
