Packed up and got away as darkness fell on Macquarie Island. Mixed emotions from the team, some happy to be on their way and into the next adventure, some sad to be leaving, some frustrated we were unable to finish the job.

A BIG thanks for the great effort from everyone helping to resupply Macca. It's impossible to name everyone but you all know who you are.
The Aurora Crew, The Macca Expeditioners, the Bureau of Meteorology team here and in Hobart, AAD shipping support, the M4 cargo facility, etc, etc. A huge effort from everyone both here and behind the scenes. Thanks.

It was a quiet night and an even quieter day as most people struggle to get comfortable and sleep in the pounding 8m+ waves. Lots of theories for how to stay in a bunk ranging from stealing the nonslip mat from the mess tables to jamming pillows and bags around yourself in strategic patterns or tucking your toes down the end of the mattress.

Regards, Andy, Mick and Karen
