Comments

After encountering heavy ice at the top of Peterson Bank, another C-212 ice reconnaissance flight in the evening confirmed a promising lead in the ice for the ship, which led us to open water just after midnight our time. We then had a fantastic cruise amongst some very picturesque ice bergs and arrived at Newcombe Bay, Casey at 0800hrs this morning. The Casey Station Leader has since been out to the ship to conduct the usual briefings and meetings that occur prior to commencing resupply operations, and we have now commenced cargo operations. Let the resupply begin! Regards Doug, Aaron and Margaret.
