RMT6 was completed at 0330 this morning, with one more planned site to go in a few hours. Our first Continuous Plankton Recorder tow came in this morning, coinciding with the RMT, and the second tow was launched soon after. This is a regular scientific program that samples zooplankton, providing information on their distribution patterns, community structure, and abundance. A grey day at sea today, with light rain falling on and off. Sea and air temperatures coincide, with high relative humidity and occasionally poor visibility as a result. No icebergs. Yet. It’s cooling down out there... Regards, Doug, Aaron & Margaret
