We picked up speed yesterday once we cleared the ice and have continued apace this morning at a speed of 16 knots. So far the weather has been kind to us, although that may change later today. The last Argo float was deployed at 23:25 hrs (ship time) last night. On the social front, yesterday evening our resident phytoplankton biologists gave a talk entitled "The basics of little critters in sea-water", and later today a darts competition is scheduled. Saturday morning heralds the weekly safety drill (muster) on the helideck and we also have another clock change this evening. Expeditioners on board are keeping occupied either catching up on sleep, reading, or report-writing, as we continue homeward bound.
