We have been making the most of the calm seas and have been keeping up a speed of 16 knots. We wait to see if we will encounter the low pressure system meant to be heading our way later today and tomorrow. The crew's safety rounds this morning will ensure everything is lashed down as per standard practice at sea, and expeditioners are re-stowing their gear in their cabins after having become used to the stability of the ice. An hourglass dolphin was sighted yesterday along with a whale of indeterminate species, and we have also encountered some flotsam now we are north of 60 degrees. Yet another clock change is scheduled for this evening as we edge ever closer to Hobart. After tonight, ship time will be only 2 hours behind AEST - only two more clock changes to go!
