The calm seas yesterday were a relief to many and it was good to be able to be out on deck again. The air is dry and crisp now with increasing snow showers, leading us to believe that the ice-edge is tantalizingly close. Last night’s Karaoke was a convivial occasion unearthing hidden talents amongst those brave enough to take the microphone. The variety of expertise on board means the talks program continues to be an educational experience for all. The Met team spoke about weather systems yesterday, and today we have ‘Fishing in PNG’ followed by Sprunky’s famous ‘Crop Circles’ talk, which is sure to raise some lively discussion! It is decidedly colder outside today with blowing snow and grey skies. Another clock change was had last night, lengthening our days as we continue our southbound journey.
