Comments

The weather conditions continue much the same as yesterday. However, a few more faces have reappeared at meals, and most are travelling well. Many are working on their hats for the fashion competition this afternoon prior to the race being called for Melbourne Cup. Expeditioners and crew have begun placing their names against times they are betting that the first iceberg will be sighted, in the traditional ‘Iceberg Sweep’. The Continuous Plankton recorder will be retrieved and subsequently redeployed for its second run this afternoon. Excitement and anticipation is building for our arrival at the ice-edge, particularly for those whom this is their first trip south.

Regards,

Karin, Sharon & Adam
