The previous evenings great weather continued on into yesterday, with a truly spectacular day. The southern ocean was a millpond with a barely discernable swell and hardly a ripple on the surface. Throughout the entire day we spotted numerous leopard seals on the passing floes, had regular whale sightings right into the evening, and swarms of sea birds following the ship. The day was capped off by a perfect sunset to port and a glorious full moon rising to starboard. Even many of the ships crew dusted of cameras and took in the sights. Conditions were too good to contemplate any planning meetings yesterday, but have commenced in earnest today. Other op's normal, all well. regards Pete & Karin
