Comments

Departed Davis at approx 2100 hrs after a successful operation -thanks all involved. 3 x helicopters de bladed and lashed in hanger. Antarctica put on a real show for the departure of the ship, with a brilliant full moon rising over the plateau and the bergs in "ice burg alley" lit up in the evening twilight. The decks were full of Expos taking in the sights as the ship slipped out of harbour. Good luck and a safe season to the 2009 Winterers at Davis. Safety briefs held onboard and ships muster completed. Very comfortable and spectacular cruising at present. Other op's normal, all well. regards Pete & Karin.
