Weather has taken another turn for the worse overnight with the wind and the swell picking up considerably. We have now turned almost directly North to avoid a low pressure system which is forecasting a wave height of some 8-10m. We'll continue on this course till around 1800hrs tonight then swing back to the North East and come in behind the low (currently estimated to be travelling at 35 kts in a north easterly direction but producing winds of some 50 - 60kts) in an effort to take advantage of the slipstream effect and will hopefully pick up the time lost heading north.....so it looks like surfs up after dinner tonight! The last 3 episodes of season 2 of "Dexter" on the box this afternoon for those that aren't bedridden by the swell. Clocks forward 1 hour tonight for the last time this voyage which will bring us back inline with most of the eastern seaboard states to UTC+11. Will confirm the pilot in the next sitrep. Cheers, Micky & Deepy
