An anticipated slow start to discharge of cargo today with the Hi cube 40' foot containers proving difficult just because of their sheer size (something we learned from the Casey Resupply), due to the low tide discharge of the new Cat excavator and backload of the old one became impossible till late in the afternoon/early evening which put the AA2 and the dumb fuel barge the "Bob Jacklyn" out of action for most of the day. A late surge by both ship and shore teams saw the pace pick up after lunch and by the close of business (7pm local) both the new and old excavator had exchanged places and the new 950 loader had also been delivered to station. Still working away in the lowers of #4 hold with the heavy large concrete pre cast slabs taking up most of the afternoon. RTA back loading continues with all the containerised cargo loading taking priority (quicker to load onboard means quicker turnaround of watercraft). ETD from Davis is 2000hrs local Monday 16th Feb.
