Another good day on a flat sea saw us have have a great run into Casey through relatively thin 1st year ice @ 6-7/10ths had us drop the anchor in Newcombe Bay at 0345 local. Discharged watercraft @ 0800 and sent in the refueling gear and some of the gas cage pallets in an effort to clear Hatch No 3. Assembled unifloats just before lunch and started running in more cargo from Hatch No 3 some teething problems initially but have discharged skid loader & 40' foot trailer, 1 x 40 east wing container and sveral 10' containers. Refueling briefings late in the afternoon meant too late (fatigue mgmt issues) to start refueling plan is to set up first thing tomorrow and hook into it. Most had dinner on station and then all but 1 back on the ship by 2130 for a reasonable nights sleep although late night aircraft flights disturbed some. Plan for tomorrow is to discharge remaining cargo on Hatch No 3 and dig out the cranes and utes while Refueling team continues their setup. We're on to it !! Best regards, Micky & Deepy
