Things are starting to look up! We now have a horizon, something that we haven't seen in about five days. We just need the wind to keep pushing the low level cloud away and we should be good to go for operations today. The big talking point yesterday was the visit by a solitary Chinstrap penguin. Apparently this one was a long way from home being predominantly an inhabitant of sub-Antarctic islands and around the peninsula. The Chinstrap tried to mingle with the Adelies but they decided it didn't belong and forced it to leave. Last night we had a both Adelies and Emperor penguins taking up residence on the floes around the ship. A Minke whale was spotted along with another couple of Humpbacks whales during the day. Beyond this not a very eventful Sunday in Antarctica. All aboard and ashore are living in hope of some action today! Regards, Rob, Aaron and Mick
