A spectacular day yesterday. We parked the ship just off Petersen Bank where we prepared the helicopters and flew off the mail, some fruit and the first Casey bound expeditioners. Petersen Bank was incredibly scenic with enormous bergs of all shapes grounded on the bank. There were a number of Minke Whale sighting as many made good use of their cameras. Cruising towards Casey through the bergs was an amazing sight. Early this morning we steamed into Newcomb Bay and the Aurora crew had us anchored at 0630. Again the weather this morning is fantastic and we are sitting just under 1 mile from the station. The Station Leader has visited the ship and the cargo and passengers are flowing ashore by helicopter. Mary McGhee will be happy to know that Jen is about to fly ashore and start work. We will continue cargo and passenger operations today and hope the weather holds. Regards Robb, Andy and Susan
