Comments
We woke this morning to the sounds of the ship crunching through the first sea ice we have encountered. The ice is light thus far and we continue to make good progress. Those collecting ice berg data for the AAD glaciologists have been busy recording passing icebergs. Antarctic petrels and snow petrels are now appearing, along with Southern Fulmars. Preparations for Casey operations are nearing completion and we are anticipating a visit from King Neptune this afternoon as we have entered his domain. Regards Robb, Andy and Susan
