Comments

The wonderfully calm conditions have continued and we are making such good progress that a sonic boom is not out of the question. Everyone is in the process of packing up their gear and preparing for our arrival in Hobart, which is now confirmed as 1900 (7.00pm) tomorrow, Friday 21st November, at Selfs Point. The ship is now on Hobart time. The RMT winch and spooling gear was tested yesterday by streaming ~1 km of wire astern of the ship, as requested by the Marine Science support group. The final pledges to Camp Quality for this voyage have been tallied, with the total coming to $21,750 – an absolutely amazing effort, so thanks to everyone who contributed so generously, and to the ships crew for doing such a great job in organising the fundraising events. See you all tomorrow. Regards Tony and John
