Comments
We departed Davis at 1400 yesterday in overcast, snowy conditions, after the formal station handover. All but a couple of lifts of planned RTA were completed by the 1330 cut-off, and it was a great effort by the ship’s crew, and cargo crews at the ship and shore, to get so much loaded. It took us some time to do a U turn in the heavy fast ice, but once we were on our way we made excellent progress. We had an emergency muster drill this morning. Everyone onboard is well and settled in for the journey home. Regards Tony and John.
