Comments
The poor weather stayed with us overnight and throughout the morning, with strong winds gusting to over 70 knots. Consequently there has been no work outside. The fast ice edge appears to be relatively stable now, although small chunks of it are still breaking off occasionally. The Melbourne Cup draw was conducted last night and we will be celebrating with a delayed telecast (or at least the audio) of the cup this evening, complete with fancy hat competition and our fortnightly ration of beer and wine. Regards: Tony and John
