We completed the transect last night, the good weather continuing to the end. The labs are still busy with the final analyses being run, reports prepared, and packing underway. We are presently off Southwest Cape, on a beautiful Tasmanian afternoon. The ship will arrive in Hobart at Macquarie 4 wharf tomorrow morning (Thursday April 17) at 0800. Family and friends can enter the wharf area through Macquarie 3 gates to welcome us. The voyage has been a huge success. We completed every station, the data are of high quality, and many measurements were made for the first time in this part of the Southern Ocean. The results of the voyage will significantly advance our understanding of the Southern Ocean and climate. Congratulations to everyone on board for a job well done. Cheers, Steve and Deepy.
