We are on station at CTD 22, having completed 3 more CTD stations in the last 24 hours. At this site we are collecting water for trace metal samples from below 1000 m, which requires two casts of the CTD. The deep samples we collect on this voyage will provide the first high quality trace metal measurements from below 1000 m in this sector of the Southern Ocean. We will also deploy the trace metal rosette and FRRF at this location, before moving on to CTD 23. The weather continues to be kind to us. Cheers, Steve and Deepy.
