The voyage has taken on a more typical Southern Ocean flavour in the last 24 hours, with the first snow, first aurora and first winds over 40 knots for the trip. Just in time for King Neptune’s visit this afternoon. We managed to complete a further test of the trace metal sampling bottles this morning, in between squalls. We are continuing to head south to the start of the section as rapidly as weather conditions permit. Cheers, Steve and Deepy.
