Comments

Fuel pumping continued yesterday and by mid afternoon we had delivered 188,700l ashore and stopped pumping. An awesome effort by all involved and very satisfying to have completed this task. The helicopter then did some flights to Hurd Pt to deliver and retrieve cargo at the end of the day before the weather closed in and called a halt to operations. This morning we flew on the last of the RTA cargo and then completed the Hurd Pt resupply by helicopter. The LARC dropped scientists at the Nuggets so they could work on the slopes of Mt Elder and took others to collect marine invertebrate samples in Sandy Bay. At the same time the helicopter flew a final task supporting a project studying penguin colony disturbance in Sandy Bay. We have now recovered one helicopter back on deck and are currently preparing to lower it into the hold. The LARC is returning to station with the science teams from Sandy Bay on board. "Vsekh blag do zavtra" Robb and Andy.
