Another very smooth night on L'Astrolabe saw all well rested this morning. As we approached the island in low cloud and rain the wind increased and is now blowing strongly from the West. We arrived off the station at 1130 and have decided against IRB passenger operations for now. The LARC is currently being prepared for launching and we hope to commence some cargo operations this afternoon. Fantastic to see the island again for some and for the first time for others, with penguins and sea birds around the ship in a very choppy Buckles Bay. "Vsekh blag do zavtra" Robb and Andy.
