A busy afternoon by all and some hard work put in by the cargo and barge crews saw all inbound Casey cargo ashore at 20:45 last night. RTA is still coming out to the ship and will take at least another day to complete. Our run of good weather disappeared this morning as we awoke to heavy snow fall and stronger winds - it had to come to an end eventually. An 20 knot easterly wind made it a much colder outside this morning but our stoic barge drivers continue to work long days on the water ferrying cargo to and from the shore. Our good fortune returned at lunch time with the wind moving around to southerly and dropping to 5 knots. Our attention remains captured by the big berg at Mawson - as it wandered into Horseshoe Harbour last night and then moved out to again be grounded in the entrance. This must be the most watched and photographed iceberg in East Antarctica at the moment. Nicki, Rob and all on board wish Peter Corcoran a Happy Birthday - but didn't give him the day off work! Cheers, Nicki, Rob and Peter.
