Comments

We are now at fly off point at the fast ice edge 50Nm from Mawson awaiting an improvement in the weather. We had a very good run south with open leads and easier 1st year ice. The weather is currently wild with 40Kn Easterly winds and the ship rolling in a 1m sea with plenty of growlers about. We now hope that an anticipated easing late today and Tuesday allow us to complete the personnel changeover and cargo. All well. Regards, Don and Hully
