Arrived at Davis Friday Afternoon and commenced cargo operations this morning in perfect sunny weather. Expect to commence refuel later today. We had a good run in to Davis in mostly clear water, and broke in to Anchorage point after flying off Mail and a few resupply support personnel. The 2008 Winterers were taken ashore after tea to have quiet evening with the 2007 Winterers before the assault begins in earnest today. Meanwhile the remainder of us enjoyed the bergs and ice breaking on the way in, and a spot of soccer on the sea ice last night. As I write cranes are discharging cargo at both ends, and Professor Sprunk is setting up the refuel equipment. 140 people and a ship, not a bad turn out for Station leader Graham Cook's Birthday yesterday. All well. Regards, Don and Hully
