Comments

The poor weather conditions continue for the 4th consecutive day. A short break this morning saw us busily preparing for heli ops, with the deck cleared of snow and the aircraft ready for takeoff by 0730. Shortly afterwards however, the weather closed around us again and we've had near white-out conditions ever since. A short ice station was conducted this morning to enable ice core samples to be collected. We are now pushing north hoping to make some progress towards the ice edge this afternoon, but with such poor visibility and tough ice conditions it is very slow going. Regards, Tony, Dave and Petra.
