We continue to have poor weather conditions. Although the wind has eased considerably, visibility is near zero and we have been unable to make any progress with the ship. A near-stationary low just to our north is the culprit. We completed Ice Station 11 by 1700 yesterday in the hope that we could make some progress if the weather cleared, but so far this hasn't been possible. An excellent suite of measurements was obtained at this ice station, which had a good amount of sea ice biomass for the algae-hungry biologists. The weather has dashed our hopes of coincident measurements under the ICESat satellite overpass today, but we cling to the hope of a weather window for those measurements tomorrow morning. Regards, Tony, Dave and Petra.
