We have just completed ice station 10 and are just about to get underway again. Weather conditions have been fine this morning, enabling heli ops and work out on the ice, but are now deteriorating as forecast. We have near whiteout conditions, snow showers and strengthening easterlies gusting 36 knots. All science parties completed a good amount of work at this ice station, including a full 24 hour cycle with the ADCP, numerous CTD casts, a complete thickness transect with ROV operations, ice radar sled and coring activities. Regards, Tony, Dave and Petra.
