We are currently hove to in white out conditions, with strong easterly winds gusting to 40 knots. There is no outdoor work today. Most people are catching up on laboratory work or getting some well earned rest. Yesterday's ice station was particularly difficult under deteriorating conditions, however we managed to successfully deploy all instrumentation and conduct heli ops to the fast ice. The ROV captured some excellent footage of the under-ice topography at ice station 3. We have not been able to trawl today due to the weather. Regards, Tony, Dave and Petra.
