Comments

We continued sea ice briefings today in preparation for our arrival at the ice. These included a session on hypothermia and cold injuries by the ship's doctor and radio communications by the senior comms person. We deployed two more ARGO floats at 17:06 yesterday and 10:10 this morning. We again deployed the FRRF at 13:00 and have been towing the CPR for the past 24 hours. An emergency muster drill was held at 10:30 this morning - a regular Saturday morning tradition at sea. All expeditioners and crew assembled on the heli deck in Antarctic clothing, boots and life jackets. Regards, Tony, Dave and Petra
