Another predominantly overcast day on rolling seas, however everybody seems to have their sea legs now. We began sea ice briefings today in preparation for our arrival at the ice edge in a few days. These included a session on the correct use of ice augers and corers, and the use of throw bags and ice axes on the sea ice. We deployed the 3rd ARGO float at approximately 22:42 last night and deployed the FRRF at 13:10 today. The CPR has been towed behind the ship for the past 24 hours. All aboard are well, the food is as good as ever. Regards, Tony, Dave and Petra
