Comments
The weather deteriorated rapidly yesterday afternoon, to blizzard conditions by 20:00 that have continued all night and today. This is our third, and strongest, blizzard of the voyage. There is no outside work at all. We identified a krill swarm under the ship last night (by sonar) but were unable to trawl, and an attempt to catch some using the ring net was unsuccessful. We will try again when conditions improve, but that is not expected until later tonight. Regards, Tony, Dave and Petra.
