Swell and low cloud prevented further helicopter or LARC operations yesterday afternoon. Passenger transfers during the day returned 13 round trip program people to the ship bringing our compliment to 36. The hangar is now full of cargo for fly off, and the main and lower holds cleared. This morning a forecast Westerly change has been accompanied by 40 Knot winds gusting to 50Kn which have now swung from NW back to SW. The helicopter came out for a look at 0800, but chose not too land due to gusting wind, to the disappointment of numerous expeditioners waiting in orange suits. The LARC has finally come in to its own and has worked the morning in strong winds transferring gas bottles in and some RTA gas and rubbish back to the ship. This afternoon the LARC will continue with cargo and we will look for a break to conduct helicopter operations. No refuelling once again due to wind, but tomorrow is a good chance with the wind forecast to drop. Yesterday's most creative cargo juxtaposition combined the winter supply of eggs with explosives. All overnight field personnel have now returned to station, and we are looking for opportunities to bring more people back to the ship, and allow others ashore. Other than that all happy and well, though a certain sense of Déjà vu prevails... Regards, Don and Brett
