No further cargo movement yesterday, but the heli deck was filled with 33 pallet loads by days end. The ship cruised the East coast again overnight, and back to anchor position at 0600 again. Our refuel team starts the day at 0530 both on the ships bridge, and the IRB Boat team on shore assessing the surf. Once again we have been foiled by the swell. The wind is now favorable being Westerly across the Isthmus, but the Swell had persisted with a spectacular shore break, so no refueling once again. Our Boat officer was seen sitting wanly on a bucket wishing for a surfboard.... On a brighter note helicopter ship to shore operations have been successful with around 40 loads ashore by Lunch working under a low cloud base. The ship is sitting steady today so the crew are moving up more loads and we hope to get more cargo up to the deck. No LARC operations again, but the Larcies have been re-skilled as store men for now. We have started flying Round trip personnel who have completed work programs to ship, as the stocks of home brew are apparently dwindling, none of which means much to us on a dry ship... Our stay once again extended by when we may be able to refuel. All well on ship and ashore. Regards, Don and Brett
