Comments

The great conditions continued yesterday with a smooth sea, sunshine and a distant pod of whales cruising past. In the evening the view forward was lit by the moon as it set, while from the stern an Aurora danced around the Southern sky. In the early hours of the morning the swell increased and it is now an overcast day as the ship rolls around. The rolling motion gives us a reminder we are at sea in the Southern Ocean and also indicates what items in our cabins are not secure as they fly across the cabin. We crossed the convergence overnight, evident in the jump in water temperature, and are steaming to Hobart to meet the pilot at 0700 on Sunday morning before coming alongside at Princes Wharf at 0800. Yours Aye Robb and Simon
