The sun came out yesterday afternoon and we were joined by a black browed and a light mantled sooty albatross that both circled the ship as we steamed along. The clear evening skies gave us a great view of the setting moon just after sunset. While we are confident we know where we are due to our GPS, a small group of expeditioners has been huddled around a sextant and making detailed calculations to confirm this, luckily the two methods seem to agree! This morning is a beautiful one with sunshine, blue skies, low swell and barely a breath of wind. While we have stopped looking for ice bergs we continue to watch for whales, many of which must also be travelling North to escape the coming winter in Antarctic waters. ETA Hobart is Sunday 1 April alongisde Princess Intermediate Wharf. Yours Aye Robb and Simon
