Yesterday's continued superb weather made it much more pleasant for all those running the cargo operations. Per and his team on the ship worked non stop with cranes working at both ends of the ship. Watching the new library/lounge building come out of the hold, onto the unifloat was an amazing sight. The little orange Aurora Australis 2 guided the ungainly load ashore where it was craned off and away. The crew at Davis matched the effort on the ship all day and the cargo flowed until well into the evening when we stopped with the fading light. Last night a great Aurora lit the night sky and from the ship the view of the Southern Lights, Davis Station and the LIDAR shooting its beam of green light into the upper mesosphere looked fantastic. This morning the weather continues to be very kind to us and the Barge and Zodiac were at the ship early in the crisp morning air to receive the first cargo and get things underway. Operations are continuing today at a steady and satisfying pace. Yours Aye Robb and Simon
