Comments

After cruising in to Davis, through a slalom course of icebergs and escorted by a Minke Whale, we anchored off the station in cold and windy conditions. The Davis crew were ready to go and very well prepared for our arrival and we soon had cargo operations underway despite the wind and chop that made it hard work, with those outside on deck, on the water and onshore working until 8pm. After a good rest last night we awoke to a cracker of a day and enjoyed watching the sun rise over Davis in a clear sky with the bergs behind us lit up by the morning rays. Cargo operations commenced again at 8am and the cargo is now flowing well. We have farewelled our Chinese friends who will fly to Zongshan today by helicopter. Looking forward to continued good weather and the resultant flowing cargo, we hope! Yours Aye Robb and Simon
