We are now passing a constant parade of icebergs which is just as well as Kim is now being rewarded for getting up to do the 0600 ice berg observation with something to record! Last night as the sun set the view was great as golden rays came down through the clouds with ice bergs silhouetted on the skyline. A lone Light Mantled Sooty Albatross appeared and stayed with us for a while as the sun set. The whales always seem to appear when Gary, the 1st Officer, is on watch. This morning he produced the goods again with a few Minke whales lobtailing and cruising beside the ship. We expect to be at the ARP 1 site at about 6pm this evening. With poor weather and fading light possible at this time we will make a call on collecting it when we arrive on site, or waiting for another day later in the voyage when we pass this way again. We'll let you know how we go. Yours Aye Robb and Simon
