Completed long station 20, where the lights of Tasmania were sighted. We then completed stations 21 and 22 on the return to process station 3, each consisted of a 400m CTD. Arrived back at process station 3 around midnight where we are following the drifting moorings. The traditional dawn CTD cast went in at 4am to collect water and start incubations. Since then we have deployed snatchers, optical instruments, buckets, the NIWA, and an additional CTD cast to 2500m. The McLean pumps are now deployed off the trawl deck to 900m. The bridge warned a ship in the area of the traps we had layed out. Afternoon tea and awards ceremony planned for this afternoon. Regards Vicky & Karin
