Comments
Work continues at process station 3. CTD casts, NIWA rosettes, optical instruments, nets and snatchers have been deployed. The incubators on the back deck are overflowing with samples. A meeting was held with expeditioners to discuss arrival details. We have recieved a beautiful ocean color composite image from the Modis satellite and are now north of process station 3 to investigate a couple of interesting regions in the image. We will return to the station for 2 days before recovering the drifting sediment traps. Regards Vicky & Karin
