Comments

Because station 8 was cut short due to weather, it was decided that station 9 would be a long one. We deployed a 400m, a 1000m and a 2500 m CTD casts, a NIWA cast and deployed the McLean pumps to 325 m. The Cataxe, FRRF, ring nets and snatcher were also deployed before heading off to station 10 this morning. Presently at station 10, with the first CTD to 400 m being sampled. We expect to head for station 11 early morning tomorrow. On board, the minicosm is cosmic, the incubators blooming and water is flushing through the ship. Regards Vicky & Karin
