Comments

Since the sitrep yesterday, we have continued to collect water and filter and incubate and pump and titrate at process station 2. CTD 49 for the voyage is being deployed now to 800m. There is a distinct chlorophyll max at about 60-70 m and a CTD will soon be dedicated to sampling water in that layer alone. Since the last sitrep, we have conducted CTD's to 1000m twice and to 200m twice. Snatchers, MDOSV's, Cataxes, FRRF's, ring nets, UFO's, McLean pumps and 2 NIWA rosette casts have also been deployed. We are following the O-string traps for the sampling regime. We intend to finish this station on February 6. Muster held today in trailer park in the sun. Regards Vicky & Karin
