Comments

Great time had by eveyone on Australia Day. Evening events included head shaving fundraiser for camp quality followed by dance party. Weather eased overnight and we deployed 2 CTD casts (to 800m and 1000 m) and a couple snatcher casts. P-string sediment trap retrieval was straight out of the A.J. textbook. Mooring recovered and on board before breakfast. It has been decided to skip several of the transit stations, and we are now steaming towards station 7 (to be renamed station 5) and expect to arrive this evening for a long station. Regards Vicky & Karin
