Deployed G-string sediment trap. Deployed NIWA rosette and another CTD cast to 1000m. The wind picked up for a few hours, but still possible to do another NIWA rosette cast and 1000m CTD over night. Ring net is being deployed periodically to look at diurnal cycles. Optical instruments (CATAX and FRRF) deployments continue, and additional casts of the NIWA were conducted in early morning. We are tracking the drifting sediment traps as they drift southward and are expecting to pick one up this afternoon or evening. Incubations, filtrations, flow cytometry and pumping are just some of the activities happening all over the ship. 2500 m CTD cast currently deployed. Regards Vicky & Karin
