The AFF Awards last night were a real hit. Glamorous costumes, media frenzy, gracious speeches, too many fizzy drinks. Some very talented people on board came up with some great little movies, including "Big Brother Onboard" and "Extreme Scrabble". In a way, it's a shame that that event has been and gone: now we're back to waiting for the magical (mythical?) weather window, which forecasts suggest begins tomorrow, and extends to Monday. We've been busy weighing peoples gear for the longer-than-we'd-like flight to Mawson from our present position, which of course limits the amount of cargo we can carry. An emergency muster exercise this morning had us all out in the fresh air on the helicopter deck. REGARDS Doug and Nicki
