Comments

We made it out of the main heavy zone of ice guarding Casey from lesser ships than ours, and are now heading towards Mawson, sticking to the outer fringes of the sea ice zone to minimize the swell. An emergency muster drill this morning to keep us on our toes. Starting to pore over the satellite derived radar images to find a weakness in the sea ice approach to Mawson. A few tantalising, teasing openings starting to appear... Maybe... REGARDS Doug and Nicki
