Comments

That promising NW trending lead that I wrote of yesterday didn't amount to much, but the heli ice recon flight did find us options heading north. We made it to a large open patch of water on dark last night, and kept station in that rather than tempting fate in the dark. We've made pretty good progress in variable ice conditions. The weather is improving after a gloomy start to the day, and we're quietly confident that we'll get out of here. No ice recon flight today due to weather. Total Helicopter hours flown to date: 34.9, with 11.1 being ice recon flights. REGARDS Doug and Nicki
